NSPCC Teddy Bears' Picnic

May 7th - Bank Holiday Monday 2-5pm

Cardiff High School (near Roath Park Lake)

Come and meet the teddies and their friends; Iggle Piggle and Upsy Daisy and help raise money for the NSPCC!!

This is the 6th year that the NSPCC Teddy Bears’ Picnic will take place. This popular family event has raised £5000 last year with over 2000 people attending throughout the day. It has raised over £15,000 for vulnerable, neglected and abused children in Wales since it started in 2006!

This year the ticket price will include all of the many children’s activities and there will be a special baby area too. A family ticket will be £10 (this admits up to 5 people - so if you are a small family then bring grandparents, family or friends to make up your group to 5). You can buy your ticket online , using the facility on at www.partyfizzz.co.uk , or on the day - if there is availability.

NEW VENUE

This year the event will be held in Cardiff High School near Roath Park Lake (click here for map). The school, which is a short walk from the park is an excellent venue and we are delighted to have been offered use of the fantastic facilities - which include a huge sports field, 2 large halls and onsite parking. Beach Parties

15th - 19th August 2011

Beach Parties 15^{th –}19^th August

Each party lasts around 2 hrs and includes 45 min Beach Themed Party Session with beach themed music and activities (instruments, songs, dancing, props, parachute games and bubbles etc.) There will be refreshments and play/chat time afterwards so you can catch up with old friends and make new ones too. The Christ Church venue has good outdoor space so if it is sunny we will get the paddling pool and sandpit out too!

The price is £7.50 per baby/child or £9 for 2 or more siblings where both/all are aged 1 or above. Older siblings are welcome to attend the baby and toddler parties and there is no charge for adults so both parents and/or grandparents can join in too.

You will need to book in advance before attending and places are limited so please book ASAP!

taster session at Jelly Babies Baby Group in Taffs Well on Wednesday 22nd June at 1.30pm.

Anyone with a baby under 12 months old is welcome to come along to join in,

and also enjoy a cuppa and cake with the other mums and babies :o)

RNLI SOS FAMILY EVENT

Saturday 29 January 2.30pm – 4.00pm

St Andrews Church Hall, Wellfield Road, Roath

Brighten up a cold winter day and join the RNLI and me for a fun afternoon of songs and activities with a water theme for children aged 0-5years.

Tickets: £5 per adult and child, and £3 per extra child.

Tickets include drinks and child friendly snacks

All money raised will help the RNLI’s volunteer lifeboat crews continue saving lives at sea, enable its lifeguards to patrol beaches in the summer and to educate children by teaching water safety messages.

Each party includes a half hour Beach Themed Interactive Music Session (with games and craft activity for ages 3-5) followed by play/chat time afterwards with refreshments so you can catch up with old friends and make new ones too. There will be a chance for a paddle too (weather permitting!)

The price is £6 per baby/child or £8 for 2 children (where both are aged 1 or above).
